One of the most important aspects to your wedding day for you and your guests is hands down the wedding entertainment! The music and energy in your room can literally make or break your event. That's why choosing a wedding DJ that best fits your needs and style is significant. Our goal is simple - pay attention to the finite details and deliver a professional, fun and memorable experience that is handcrafted for you and your guests. Let us break down the cost, hone in on your budget, and help you make some decisions regarding your overall wedding experience.

How much does a DJ cost per hour?

Pricing for wedding DJ's in New Jersey and New York can range from company to company and you may be wondering how there could be such a variance. The cost depends on the length of time, what kind of equipment is used, their level of experience, and how many add-on services you request. Our event host + dj teams at Eclipse Events for a 4 hour event start at $2,000 and go up from there. We do offer discounts for Winter Weddings (Jan-Mar), Sundays, Afternoon Weddings (reception ends at or before 5 p.m.) and military service members. This price comes with a two man team; your event host and your DJ, which will work side by side throughout your day. Your event host will make announcements during formalities and throughout your night and will make sure everything is running smoothly for you. Our DJ works in conjunction with our event hosts while also ensuring that everyone is on the dance floor and having the time of their lives.

While the cost may seem overwhelming at first, quality, experience and professionalism matters. If there's one word of advice to offer when choosing your wedding DJ it would be this: Leave the entertainment to us and relax knowing that we have the expertise and professionalism to take care of everything.

Additional wedding production and add on's:

To figure out how much DJ's usually charge, consider that the prices can go higher if you choose additional add on's such as:

***Did I mention we also are an award-winning videography and photography company as well? Yes, all three services in one! We do have packages if you are interested in those services. You can also read our stellar reviews on The Knot and Wedding Wire.

What do the DJ services include?

Not everyone understands all the work behind the scenes that needs to happen for a professional DJ to make your day special. Here's what our DJ services include:

  • Time: We put in an extreme amount of work and planning and organizing before you wedding day. Between the meetings, calls, staffing, services, arranging equipment, final forms, and music requests.
  • Equipment: Our DJ equipment are kept in top-quality condition therefore, if we need something to get fixed, that price is the way it is.
  • Operational costs and insurance: Between our office space and the licenses we own for our services, this is all built in within the DJ price.

Are there traveling fees?

Yes, depending on location. There are no fees for an event under 50 miles from our office in Cranford, NJ. However, anything over 50 miles is $100. 100 - 200 miles from our office is $450. 200+ miles or an international location would require a custom built package.

What happens upon booking your wedding DJ with us?

At Eclipse Events, we understand that no two weddings are ever alike; everyone has a different style of music that they like. Upon booking with us, you will have access to our online portal which allows you to choose your own custom playlist. You will then meet with us from time to time if you have any questions/concerns. Closer to your wedding date, we will sit down with you one on one to go over final details of your day (confirming time, formalities and names, music selections, any questions you may have).

When is the balance due?

A non-refundable, retainer fee is due within 5 days of the signed contract with us. The rest of your balance is due by the event date.
